We had a great time New Year's Eve at Amanda's house. It was nice seeing everyone especially our crew from Elementary School. The last time we were all together was for my wedding two years ago. Madelyn had a fun time too. She was fighting hard to stay away until midnight but it was very obvious that she was tired. My mom offered to go home with her so Mike and I could stay a little bit longer. I got her to sleep and went back to Amanda's. She was so exhausted it only took her a minute to fall asleep. Thankfully Amanda took some pictures on her camera because I forgot mine.

Our New Year didn't start off so good. Madelyn was running a fever and not acting herself. Seeing her sick is not easy. On the plus side, we get to spend all day snuggling together and relaxing while she recovers.
Yesterday, Mike stayed at home with Madelyn while I brought our car to the shop for an oil change. It was the longest three hours of my life as I listened to a man that resembled the main character from the Old Man In The Sea ramble on about how much he loved the pioneers. He also told me a handful of jokes that didn't make any sense. The man was very nice but talking to him didn't make the time go by any faster.
